RX in Brazil!

SRK forum member papito recently posted up some photos and videos of when the Brazilian 3s community hosted legendary Urien player RX for a 3rd Strike Party/Nationals.

From papitos post on the shoryuken forums...

So, this last weekend I organized the "3rd Strike Brasil Party" event, that RX took part.

RX is still here in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. He leaves on thursday and he's having a blast (so are all of us)!

The man is an absolute legend and as humble as it gets, it's freakin' amazing.

He didn't know about his fame until he got here hahahahahahahahaha

Sounds like it was a great experience! I know I can speak for some of the serious 3s heads at Denjin in saying this raises our spirits about the game. Great thing to see!

  1. Thanks for the support, guys! Yes, it was a great experience.. RX is a beast, it's almost unbelievable what he's able to do on 3s. And he's also a great person, always smiling and joking with everyone, even without understanding a single word in portuguese. We're going to post more videos as soon as possible.
    Thanks once again,
    Roadie

  2. If you still have him there you guys should do an interview with him. I'm sure people worldwide would love that.

  3. I was really hyped when I first heard about it from my mates at Belo Horizonte. Unfortunately I couldn't attend to this great event, but I've been pushing for an interview with the man since he got here in Brazil. I've sent some questions from the Brazilian community @ portalversus.com.br to the 3rd Strike Brazil heads and I've been told they are looking into it. I've even offered one of our Japanese translators if needed be.

So far, no luck, but let's see by thursday :) We now have the whole western world setting their eyes upon Belo Horizonte and asking for answers. It's a great opportunity indeed. Don't let us down, guys!

  6. To think I was there, seeing the man who makes me keep pushing myself into Third Strike and into my Urien further and further, trying to become better. It was awesome.

The local people were ok I guess ;D

  7. Just for the record.

It was kinda of hard interviewing him. He doens't speak english. Gustavo "Sensei" Eda, thr Brazilian who became friend of him and convinced him to come spoke japanese, but he was kinda of tired.. we didn't want to push him.

We asked him some tips and thoughts, though. But these secrets are only ours.. ;)

Great experience ever, shit, can't believe it's over even a few weeks after =/
